Health sector always remained a special focus of Omer Aftab’s initiatives. His awareness and advocacy work on various diseases is recognized at number of national and international platforms. In 1995, when polio campaign was initiated in Punjab, he was officially approached by Government of Punjab to assist the polio campaign in the province.

Omer designed advocacy and lobbying strategy and facilitated vaccination campaign for the greater benefit of the general public.

Through his efficacious leadership and partnership of the Health Department, the vaccination campaign got a remarkable success.
