In modern world strategic public relations is considered as a backbone of any successful corporate and development initiative. Creating a positive image of your enterprise leads you to secure the best possible results of the very effort you invest in. Having a tendency of becoming PR specialist Omer first used these skills to expand his family business, besides, being involved in a variety of projects of public interest.
To further specialize in the field, Omer polished his skills from Management School Training, London, by completing courses on international public relations. Moving forward with the pace Omer engaged many influential personalities including Ms. Cherie Blair (then first lady of UK) for breast cancer awareness in Pakistan. On the same issue of women’s health Omer also engaged many local influential like Mrs. Sehba Musharraf, First Lady of Pakistan, Mrs. Rukhsana Shaukat Aziz, wife of then Prime Minister and many others.
Omer facilitated many international organizations to work in Pakistan. In 2006, he Introduced HCA International Hospitals in Pakistan, the largest healthcare group owned by then Chairman US Senate. Moreover, he also worked closely with government departments and rendered his services to Ministry of Tourism in ‘Visit Pakistan’ project and to Pakistan Soft Image Project by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Prime Minister Secretariat in PR.
Being the only Pakistani awarded by Int’l Public Relations Association with IPRA award, Omer served as Chairman Public Relations of Rotary Club International Pakistan and International Marketing Conference – Marcon 2006. Whereas he is on the Board of Directors of PIELLE Consulting UK, an international PR firm.
Omer’s work is recognized by number of national and international institutions. Stories about his work are published in various international journals whereas case studies have also been conducted about his strategic public relations for social causes. He also presented at many international conferences including 3rd World PR Conference by Chartered Institute of Public Relations London.
His PR expertise also includes Trade & Commerce, Crisis Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Community Relations.
